Ata Sarrafinazhad
Ata is a Doctorate Candidate in RF Engineering with a proven track record in Analog and Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Design. He currently serves as a Staff RFIC Design Engineer at Skyworks Solutions, Inc., where he leverages his expertise to develop advanced RF integrated circuits. Ata’s career began with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Tabriz in Iran, followed by his pursuit of higher education at Bogazici University in Turkey. There, he completed his master’s degree focusing on Analog/Mixed Signal IC design, gaining extensive experience in designing tunable analog blocks at both schematic and layout levels.
Currently pursuing his PhD at Arizona State University, Ata has dedicated the past three years to conducting research in RF circuits. His expertise spans the design and fabrication of various integrated CMOS power amplifiers, as well as different types of Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) such as low power, variable gain, and UWB LNAs, alongside voltage-controlled oscillators.
In 2016, Ata joined Skyworks Solutions, Inc. as a Staff RFIC Design Engineer, contributing significantly to the company’s leadership in RF technology. Alongside his industry role, Ata is actively involved in academia, collaborating with educational institutions to enhance the learning experience and incorporate real-world insights into his teaching.
At Rahsoft, Ata previously held a role as an RF design engineer, where he played a crucial role in designing and producing RF modules, particularly specializing in power amplifier design. His contributions to Rahsoft’s RF Certificate program included updating the curriculum to reflect the latest criteria, with the goal of developing a comprehensive RF course.
