Akhilesh Verma
Dr. Akhilesh Verma is an esteemed academic and industry expert specializing in Electronics and Communication Engineering, currently serving as an Academic Staff Member at Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg since May 2024. He also holds the position of Advisor (Industry Expert) at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), where he plays a pivotal role in establishing the “Centre of Excellence Satellite Communication.”
Dr. Verma completed his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Delhi Technological University in 2021. His doctoral research focused on the development of fully 5G Antennas utilizing Artificial Magnetic Conductors to reduce Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), achieve high gain, and enable Beamforming/Beam Scanning through non-uniform periodic Metasurfaces.
Prior to his current roles, Dr. Verma has held several key positions in industry and academia. He served as Deputy Manager (R & D) at Aqila Technologies & Integration Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida, India, where he specialized in the design of RF Power Amplifiers, RF PA stability analysis, and RF Filters Design for Ku Band applications. His expertise also includes the design of Parabolic Reflector Antennas for RADAR applications, Lumped/Microstrip Filters, and Air Core Inductor-based Band Pass Filters.
In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Verma has contributed significantly to academia. He has served as a Student Mentor at UC San Diego, mentoring undergraduate students, and as a Senior Antenna Engineering Scientist at Rahsoft, where he was responsible for designing and simulating RF/Antennas for 5G Applications. His role included the creation of courses on 5G Antennas, Phased Array Antenna, and Beamforming.
Dr. Verma’s passion for education extends further as he has also held academic positions such as Assistant Professor at Tula’s Institute and Lecturer at Guru Nanak Education Trust’s Group of Institutions, where he imparted knowledge in the field of electronics engineering.
